I have heard of another way of breeding bettas I found it at bettysplendens.com first you put the male I tub about four inches deep or fill a tank with about four inches of water. Once the male is in put the female beside him but not in the same tank. Cut a Styrofoam cup in half lengh ways. If the male can see the female he will build a bubble nest. Once his bubble nest is made put the female in with him but only if she has virtical bars going up and down her body. After you put the female in they should once they have bred remove the female and give her betta max.
