I called this post gad news because it is a mixture of good news and bad news. Good news my betta came today it was a male betta veiltail I changed my mind about the crowntail. I also saw a beautiful blue and green male betta but he had been reserved. So I bought the following 1 white female betta, 2 dark bodied females, and 1 red male betta veiltail. The male is much larger than my last but his fins are not in good shape so I will give him some meelafix. They all seem very happy.

whoo hoo
Hi I am so pleased I'm getting a crowntail betta whoo hoo I pure red, line bred, male crowntail halfmoon geno. It will be way cool I am happy to say that I will be very nice to him and he will be a dad. (won't he be pleased?) I had a female betta last time I looked but I wonder if she is still there, I'll go check, YEP! She is still there. She belongs to my brother mine got sucked into the bubble machine while it was asleep. Now before you go up to my door and start shouting how did it get suck here is your answer I don't know!!! Bye

you have a disease
Sorry I haven't been posting in a while. I used to get my betta information from a website called http://bettysplendens.com/ and to my amazment it has been removed from the web! Another great website to go to if the have the urge to breed your betta is: http://bettatalk.com/. And if you have come to this website looking purely for help with your betta then your at the right place. But there is some bad news, you you have caught a disease the fish disease it's scientific name is fishyaretilyousus. There is no known cure once you have caught it you just have to breed more and more fish. But don't worry too much it is not faitil.

breeding bettas
I am breeding my bettas and I bought them some blood worms and since I was feeding the bettas blood worms I put some in with the goldfish and they went crazy!!!!

Betta pallifina
Diet
Betta pallifina are carnivores and thus should be fed a meat based diet. They will eat a large variety of live foods, such as white worms (Enchytraeus albidus), grinal worms (Enchytraeus buchholzi), wingless fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster), and brine shrimp. Captive fish will readily take pelleted and flake foods, as well as frozen and freeze dried foods, though these should be soaked prior to feeding.
Habitat
Betta pallifina come from forest streams in the upper Barito river. The water temperature in which these fish are found is typically 77-79F (25-26C), with the pH ranging from 6.6-7.4.

Parents do not predate the fry when they are released. Fry should be fed baby brine shrimp, microworms, or infusoria.
